Pick It Up Las Vegas empowers individuals facing unmet needs through meaningful environmental cleanup, teamwork, and real workforce experience, creating stronger neighborhoods and stronger people.
Since launching, our programs have removed over 40,000lbs of trash, mobilized over 700 volunteers, and provided paid and incentive based service opportunities to unhoused individuals willing to participate in community cleanup efforts.
At Pick It Up Las Vegas, we believe that no one—and no place—should be left behind. We’re a grassroots, community-driven nonprofit working to clean up litter in high-impact areas across Las Vegas, including storm drains, tunnels, streets, and parks —while empowering the unhoused and underserved through meaningful work and community engagement. Through our cleanups, we create a better city and environment for our community and visitors. Even small actions can create a big impact. Let’s show the world the true beauty of Las Vegas!
The Pick It Up Foundation Service Exchange Program provides individuals the opportunity to earn compensation or incentives by participating in community cleanup efforts. Participants engage in hands-on environmental work that helps restore public spaces while building structure, accountability, and a sense of purpose through service.
The program is designed to be low barrier and dignity centered. Participants choose to take part, are treated as contributors to their community, and are compensated based on their participation and effort. This model allows individuals, including those experiencing housing instability, to meet immediate needs while gaining real world experience, consistency, and connection to positive community engagement.
By investing directly in people through service, the Service Exchange Program benefits not only participants, but also the surrounding neighborhoods and the community as a whole.
